The stop is part of the job
A removal van is longer than a car and it needs to stay while furniture comes out. In Keighley that is often the hard part. Keighley Town Centre has buses and shop deliveries. Haworth has cobbles and visitors. Thwaites Brow has a slope and short bays. Bingley has a centre that fills at commute time.
We ask where the van can wait before we quote a house removal. A photo of the street is more useful than a promise that “it will be fine on the day”.
What to check
- Yellow lines, permit bays and any note from a managing agent.
- School times. Cherry Tree Rise, Rawdon Road and Main Street in a village are different streets with the same problem.
- Whether the door is up steps from the kerb.
- A second place to stop if the first is taken.
- How long the van needs to stay. A flat with a lift is a different window from a house with a loft.
Bradford Council handles parking in the district. If a suspension is required, start that process early and tell us the reference. We do not invent a permit.
On the morning
Keep the space if you can, without blocking neighbours in. Have the keys with you so we are not waiting with nowhere to go. Insurance is provided. Ask us what is covered when you book.
