Removals in Oxenhope

Oxenhope is the upper end of the Worth Valley, past Haworth, where the road feels more like a moorland village than a suburb of Keighley. From Parkwood Street it is the longest of the Worth Valley runs we do as a local job. Houses are stone cottages, farms converted to homes, and a village centre of terraces around the school and the station. Lanes narrow quickly once you leave the main road. A van that fitted Haworth may still need a different plan here because the last stretch is tighter or steeper. Oxenhope station is the far terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. On operating days, cars collect around the station and the village. Oxenhope Church of England Primary School is on Cross Lane, so the school run uses the same short stretch of road. Winter weather matters more here than in the town. Ice on a hill changes whether we load first thing. Tell us about unmade tracks, cattle grids and any gate the van cannot pass. Postcodes are BD22. Bradford Council handles council tax and bins. Insurance is provided. Ask us what is covered when you book. Call 01535321350 if you are unsure a large van can reach the door. We would rather see a photo the week before than discover a gate on the morning.

Moving in Oxenhope: common questions

Do you treat Oxenhope as local?

Yes. It is further than Ingrow or Oakworth, and the quote includes that run plus the lane at the end.

What if the van cannot reach the house?

Send photos of the last stretch. We may carry from a wider point. That time belongs on the quote.

Does the heritage railway affect the day?

It can, on running days, if you are near the station. Mention it when you enquire.
